i follow the way and the way follows me and all living things.
i have been labeled & identified along this way as an american. i was born in douglas, michigan, michigan retaining american union status since 1836. as an american i am told this is my country, but in truth that simply isn't true. i have masters over my life in the form of corrupt corporations and ruthless wealth and these entities have far more say over what happens in this nation than my feeble voice can over shout.
i've been griping, kvetching & bitching about this since those bush thugs stole the presidency in 2000 (and again in 2004) and lorded it over the rest of us as they systematically destroyed american prosperity, our standing in the world and allowed the worst terrorist strike on our country to occur simply so they could strip us poorer americans of our last vestiges of rights guaranteed us by the constitution in the bill of rights, a document held sacred and inviolate until greedy men with dollar signs in their eyes and knowing in their hearts how america should be adjudicated decided they could endure democracy no more and grasped the very top seat of american power and running through the heart what little democracy this once great republic had left after the republicans raped it during the cold war era. bastards! criminals! traitors!

yeah, so, i get the teabaggers sort of. i mean, i'm not a racist and my heart isn't filled with hate or visions of a christian armageddon, but i get them. these teabaggers were at the heart of the bush theft of the presidency and they feel he didn't go far enough on american world dominance, eradicating civil liberties or pressing their vision of fundamentalist christian ethics on the rest of us. for them, the federal government isn't doing enough to militarize the nation, segregate the races or build walls across our borders like the violent, xenophobic israelis. somehow they want this to happen with smaller government too but they believe in myths as fact already so it's 6 of one kind, 1/2 dozen of the other.

now that they are teabaggers, they are the will to power, with their distorted vision of an american golden age as described and envisioned by ronnie reagan.

the idiotic press in this country call it the "anti-incumbant wave sweeping the nation" but i've seen this before when they used these same voting shenanigans for the bush administration. this is an orchestrated plot. after all, enough teabaggers take over the government and before you can say "didn't i read about this happening once before in 1932 germany" we'll have nuked iran and syria, made seperate but equal a constitutional amendment & have teams of architects and builders along the mexican border because mexicans and muslims all look alike to us whiteys. never mind that border with white canada so many terrorists have used to come across. teabaggers are NOT true americans, true americans don't strive for totalitarianism.

call it short term memory loss but back during the cold war, america made some tough decisions about how to win that battle. these moves were meant to be temporary but as decade after decade passed, that was all forgotten. soon a whole other generation, one raised under daily threat of nuclear war came to be and didn't even know such compromises ever transpired. how do you know you've lost certain freedoms or have power over corporations if you never knew you had them? and on it went for 40 years of deregulation and loss of personal freedoms and unfettered government growth.
since 9/11 a new generation of kids have been born and the kids alive then are young adults. what will they know of compromises affected through the patriot act? they will never know america was once a free nation that minded it's own business and was renowned for it's technical marvels and brilliant innovations. we didn't make war, we made progress and explored. that we have no colonies on either the moon or mars only goes to show what america lost by involving itself in 2 world wars, a cold war and this newer version of it, the war on terror. oh sure we have a shitload of phones and the gullible masses are barely literate but hey, war is easier for rich people to get richer on and you need stupid people to fill the trenches yeah? this is american patriotism today.

at night i look to the stars and curse my luck for being born in an america corrupted by greed and lust. i should be up there dammit, seeking my fortune in the last frontier like the old 49ers or the first settlers west of the ole missisip. my government should be promoting peace, championing the cause of civil liberties and promoting the general welfare. you know, like it says in the constitution.
this reminds me all too much of die hard. think of the bad guys as teabaggers and me as mcclane trying to get the doubting calvary to show. the teabaggers are going to blow up the nation to cover their true crimes while real patriots, those who live and breathe freedom and our constitution need to stand up with a cry of "kippie ki ya mutha fuckah!" and oppose these teabagging villains. they will break any law, defy any regulation and may have plans to use assassination against political enemies. put nothing past these nut jobs! and welcome to the party, pal.
