Remember how after allowing 9/11 to happen that the Bush people got together with the anti-pot/drug people and made commercials saying if you smoked pot, you were supporting (Arab? Today I read 2 articles that reminds me of those bad days. The 1st reports how the DOJ hates freedom and voters who decide their own state laws

One could easily walk this into "You smoke pot??? Wait! bin Laden smoked pot before he got smoked by a shot! You're like bin Laden!!!"
It's probably nothing, but who knows? What I do know is that marijuana prohibition, like alcohol prohibition before it, is a violation of the personal liberties and freedoms of millions of Americans. Today beer and liquor sales amount to billions of dollars which the federal government is only too happy to tax (you know, when they can make corporations pay their taxes in the 1st place that is). Already, the medicinal pot industry is hitting the billion dollars mark after a few years.
Could you imagine if the government stopped living in the 19th century and came into the 21st by legalizing and taxing weed instead of demonizing it because rich, white fundamentalists prefer drunkenness to being stoned or foresters who want to make money from the blood of trees instead of hemp? Billions in new tax revenues right there! And isn't the big battle in DC today over the federal budget and getting more funds??
It's like we're governed by a bunch of children sometimes.
